Have a great day tomorrow!

Hi Everyone,

First of all, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!  I hope you have a great one.  Thank you all for making an effort tomorrow to thank your site supervisors, managers and staff and showing them we love being there.

TOMORROW- ALL GHS students NOT going to site, come to class at P2 and P3, with the rally in between.

I will grade your HW and tests, and review time sheets. Some of you did not turn in the cover letter and/or references, and the HW.  What is that about?  Anyone with missing assignments....see me so we can get it all sorted out.

REMINDERSGirls, hair back and for everyone, badges on at all times.

Start a journal page in the back of your CC binder/journal that lists out a "procedures manual" of sorts for next year's student in your place.  Thank you.

For people observing procedures in an O.R., please wear a t-shirt under your scrubs, so when you don your PPE, you have clothing on underneath.

HW due on 2/20 - Jordan and Megan, get this HW from another student or contact me.  Thanks.
(Resources for your patients)

No texting my cell before 7 a.m. and after 7 p.m. (unless you need my help in an emergency). Please text from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and keep me in the loop with ALL SCHEDULE/SITE changes or requests!!! Thank you.

BAD NEWS:  Around 1:00 today, a teacher on the GHS campus overheard three of my students talking and heard one of them say...."I told that lady that I don't file....doctor's don't file". (I am assuming this person is planning to be a physcian).  This is called a "sense of entitlement" and I won't tolerate that.  I was infuriated.  I believed no student of mine would be so insenstive, hurting me and the program this way...and worst of all, themselves!!!  Please, if you have issues, trust that I will help you in any way I can.  You know that!   Believe me, this will be a topic of discussion at our next class meeting.  Bring your thoughts, as so many have you have done before, to promote the "go where I am needed attitude".

Are you worried about college and life changes coming up? Don't stress out.  Go to www.collegeboard.org and look for resources that can help.  Please see me if you are in need of a "pep talk".  ;-)  (or see your counselor or career center specialist).

There is a global event that you can be part of.....  ONE BILLION RISING (www.onebillionrising.org)

This is an event that brings attention to the fact that violence against women and girls in the world has to STOP.  Feel free to look on the website if you'd like to join me in Dublin at the event there on Amador Plaza Road.  Men are encouraged to show up.

Take care and have a great evening.

Mrs. Erceg

p.s. Keep checking the blog.  Do I really have to continue telling people this?  Sheeesh.
