Happy Monday to you. I saw some of you this morning arriving at your sites. It is a pleasure to work with such a dedicated group of people. Keep up the good work and be ready to share your experiences this week in class.
DUE WEDNESDAY 12/5:
Time Sheet for 11/26 to 12/2, signed by a manager, supervisor or authorized signer. Need help? Contact me right away!
Journal entries on how the phone is answered at your site, three types of appointments that are common to your area. (Urgent Care/MIC - list three types of conditions/injury treated).
One (or more) items to donate for Tri-Valley Haven. Suggestions: roll of wrapping paper, pajamas, socks, scarf, gloves, sweatshirt, sports memorabilia, sports equipment, board games, craft kits. Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, bar of soap, toothpaste (I am getting toothbrushes donated from Dr. Wong)
Here is another opportunity to help others less fortunate (For GHS student participation, but any of my afternoon students can help too) - I need someone to work on this with me. I think we can make a difference! I signed up for a small family with 1 or 2 children and one veteran. Any help, even $1 buying water will be a way to help!!!
Each family is a
family of a LVJUSD student and was nominated for the program with the help of
the child welfare attendants and staff at various schools around our community.
We have 26 families to help this season. The veterans are residents at the
Veteran’s Hospital in Livermore. There are around 90 veterans we hope to bring
a little holiday cheer to.
Options: For Adopt-a-Family: A class/club can raise
money for a family and leadership will go shopping with the funds or students
from the class/club can raise money and shop themselves. Return $ or gifts to
leadership for delivery by the 14th.
For Adopt-a-Veteran: A class/club can raise money for a veteran.
The suggested contribution is $8-10 per veteran. Leadership is putting together
gifts for them based on the advice given by the nurses. Return $ by the 7th. Do
one or both! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Take care and see you Wednesday. Check the blog every night!!!
