Hi Everyone,
Great job today. My helpers in class were wonderful today. Thank you all for pitching in.
I won't see you until Monday, 10/8.
Here is the list of things to work on so we don't fall behind:
1. Immunizations, vaccinations, TB testing. Except for a few people, ALL DOCUMENTATION must be complete and ready to turn in on MONDAY.
2. Work on your Safe Schools project and print out the certificates. Black and white okay!
3. Decide what your topic will be for MT #3, due next Wednesday, 10/11. Follow the instructions.
4. MT # 4 - Start asking your family (parents and grandparents) and friends about their favorite home remedies. In your first paragraph, type in at least three - what they are and what they are used for. Example: Using a little warm olive oil on a cotton ball and putting in the ear to treat an achy ear. The second paragraph describes a product that you have seen on t.v., on the internet or in a magazine that is "just to good to be true". Example: A pill that makes your hair grow long in five to seven days. The third paragraph is why you think the product in paragraph works is based in reality or is simply a scam that fools the public into believing it works. The fourth paragraph is a conclusion, based on your opinions, of the home remedies and your advice to people that may need to do some research with their doctor before trying something that may not work, or even harm them! Type this assignment!
5. Check out the anatomy website a play a few games: http://msjensen.cehd.umn.edu/webanatomy/
6. FLASH CARDS ! While watching a movie or talking with a friend, make as many flashcards as you can. One student asked if it is okay to print out the word part and the definition and then apply it to the card. Yes! That is fine. Work on the A - Z word parts (prefixes and suffixes) and the abbreviation list in your binder. Include the prescription and doctor's orders sections too.
BRING YOUR FLASH CARDS BACK TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY! I can't wait to see them.
See you Monday and have a great weekend!
Mrs. Erceg
